while chasing your littles
Duke & Emmi is a division of Nikii Pix that I created in honor of my own two littles. As a momma myself, I know how fast the years seem to fly by. Telling myself that this year, I will get those family pictures done. That I will be more present each day with my littles, because you don't really get the full 18 years with them before they are off doing their own things.
It's those moments that I seem to blink, and I am faced with the fact that my kids have grown a foot.
While with Nikii Pix, I create a quiet and tranquil area for mommas entering into their motherhood journey, Duke & Emmi is a place for us mommas to let go of the worry of PERFECTION, to let go of the posed images and take in with embracing your TRUE YOU.

What is duke & emmi?

I. Consultation
This step I feel is really important. You are trusting your photographer not only with yourself and your vision but also with your little one. When your little one is feeling right at home, they will be themselves and give you those images that will have you showing your session off to everyone you meet.
II. Session Day
This is the day we prepped and brainstormed for. You will walk into your session knowing that I see your vision, I hear your wishes and that no matter if it's complete chaos or absolutely blissful, your session will turn out more than you dream of.
III. Delivery
Now it's all on me. About 2-3 days after our session, you will receive an email to schedule your REVEAL appointment. This appointment is the first chance for you to see your images and learn how to navigate the online gallery to purchase digital prints or products. We will walk through each step so you don't feel that you are left out in the dark with your journey.
Let's get real for a moment....
Planning a photo shoot for many is really stressful, and honestly, it shouldn't be. You should be able to go into the session ready to watch your little one be themselves, and sit back and soak those moments in. 18 years may seem like forever, but in the grand scheme of things, those year FLY by. Time doesn't slow down, if anything it speeds up. So give yourself permission to feel, to take it in, to be present and to live.
Get to know a little about me.
Crime fighter who took her life long passion and turned it into chasing littles while capturing those amazing giggles.
I have always love taking pictures, just ask my friends from high school.... (Sorry to those friends, haha). And all it took was a little push from my photog bestie to take a passion/dream and turn it into a reality and career.
As my own two little were born and grew up, capturing those moments that seem to fly by became such a mission of mine. I know that once i blink, I will be capturing my own littles SENIOR YEAR pix and I can tell you, I am really not ready for that.

I separated and branched out my CHILDREN's division as my own kids got older. While I loved having them under the Nikii Pix name, I felt a greater calling to create something more unique and specialized towards what works for kiddos. A long session with family doesn't always hold the kiddos attention and with other family members around, capturing their own silliness doesn't always come out.
The mood and the approach I feel is absolutely different with these style of sessions as well. While Maternity and Newborn sessions are more relaxed, tranquil and quiet,
Children need that outlet to run and play. So when we do a child session in the studio, it becomes a race track for ride along toys, monster trucks, barbie cars and so much more. But not muffling the wildness that runs through their veins, I am able to capture alot of amazing images that will stop you in your tracks. And when we head outside, we can play on a playground, or go out to your farm to ride around on the 4 wheelers, there are no limits to holding tight to your little ones.
Have a question about your photography session? Here are some common questions and helpful answers:
how far in advance should I book my session?
It really varies depending on the type of session and how much planning you would like to do. 4-6 weeks before your request time frame is best. As I only schedule little ones during daylight hours on certain days at the studio, scheduling can be limited. Another thing to consider is their own nap times, or appointments that you may have. I ask that you don't book a session after Dr. Appts or other things as littles may be tapped out for the day from that.
Do you provide balloons or cake for sessions?
While I fully support people bringing in cakes and balloons, I don’t include these or provide them due to allergies.
This is something that we will discuss and finalize during our brainstorming session. These options are ONLY available with a Milestone session.
Can I bring pets to my Little ones session?
As a fur-momma myself, my space is fur-baby friendly. However, I do ask that you keep them leashed and make sure they "do their duty" outside before coming into the studio. If you wish to include your fur-baby, and we are planning an outdoor location. Please let me know so I make sure to find us a fur-baby friendly space to shoot at.
What if the weather does not cooperate?
We can reschedule (if our schedule allows) or move the session to my state street studio location.
What if my Kid Won't Cooperate?

Each session is designed to be easygoing and relaxed. My style is more documentary and lifestyle, so we will capture them playing and even snuggling with a favorite toy or blanket. So with that, perfectly posed is not my style, nor do I force children to look at me and the camera. I can not guarantee images that will have them looking right at me. If that is the style you are looking for, I am not the right photographer for you.
Have other questions that you don't see here? Feel free to shoot me a quick email over at nikiipix@gmail.com and ask away! Many questions are also able to be answered at our intro chat too. Don't worry, if you feel we are not a good fit after our intro chat, that's ok! The intro chat is a chance for us to get to know each other and find out. Also keep in mind, that I will NOT send my pricing over e-mail, this is only given out at an intro chat, as I may be able to create a customized session for you based off of what you tell me about your vision.
Can I bring toys, outfits, and other props for the session?
As a rule of thumb, I do try to keep our sessions minimalistic and natural, however I do encourage if there are little keepsakes or toys that they love to bring them along. This is also a great way to make sure your little one feels safe as well. Also with safety blankies, they alot of times can be a cherished keepsakes as they grow older.
Do you include the digitals with the session fees?
Simple answer, NO. My sessions are broken down into a session fee, which is due at the time of booking. You will be able to choose from options to purchase single images, the whole gallery. There are also options for purchasing products. By leaving it separate like this, it gives you the control to customize the collection that best suits you.
will my child(ren) be posted on your social media or website?
As an artist, I retain complete ownership of the images that I take. However, I do respect peoples wishes to not have their children on social media or displayed via samples, in my portfolio, or in marketing documents. For any request to NOT show your child(ren)s images, I do ask that you submit a written request to be included in your portal.
